Each year, medical expenses, productivity losses, and other costs brought on by traffic fatalities and injuries cause developing nations to lose between 1% and 3% of their GDP.
Road traffic accidents are currently the biggest cause of mortality for those between the ages of 15 and 29 years and the ninth-highest cause of death overall. These accidents are anticipated to rise to the fifth most common cause of mortality worldwide by 2030 as nations expand and accumulate an increasing number of motorized cars.
The number of fatalities on the world’s highways exceeds 1.25 million per year. Such an alarming number is evidence of the general disregard for road safety and knowledge in our country. That’s why the SESH India team works to raise awareness of traffic safety and environmentally friendly transportation. After all, it’s crucial to prevent traffic accidents before they stop us.
