Women Impowerment

A Restored Giving Up Attitude

A mother of two school-going kids became dejected and disheartened. Her spouse, the father of the children, left the house one fine day. She became the sole earner of her house and started to feel anxious about her children's education, societal judgements and their life. Living in a small hut, she continued to work as a maid in different wealthy houses even after post-marital discord. All her hopes were lost when her bare hands couldn't anymore bear the pressure of the hardcore manual work she was doing as it resulted in the swelling of her hands.

She was reached out by a mediator from the NGO ” Save Earth Save Human” who got to know about their conditions through her two children who are enrolled in Free Shiksha Kendra run by SESH itself. The SESH volunteers without any delay went forward to meet them and sit and talk with the family in a one-on-one interaction. An aroma of love and confidence was confined to the walls of this small home with a promise of the children’s education with the required resources, ration and basic amenities whenever wanted and the employment of the mother. Presently, the SESH has kept the family a priority and decided to enable the lady to become independent emotionally as well as mentally. This being just one instance, there are many examples where SESH are determinedly functioning for women’s employment by uplifting them intentionally and taking a stance for women empowerment.
